Meet the
Staff
Sherri Hines, Training
Coordinator
Ms. Hines is the
Training Coordinator for the Education & Training team. She has been
with MPHI since January 2009, working with event planning and CEU
coordination. She brings knowledge of all aspects of healthcare from
clinical to administrative. Ms. Hines current tasks include the event
planning for the Title X, Region V Family Planning initiative and
state-wide Family Planning Update. Ms. Hines has a Bachelors of Science
degree in Healthcare Management and is currently pursuing a Masters of Science

Kirstan Jolin, Program
Manager
Ms.
Jolin is the Program Manager for the Education & Training team. She has
been with MPHI since 1995, working in many different capacities throughout the
company. Ms. Jolin's current tasks include project management for multiple
projects, supervision, event planning, working with our clients to plan and
coordinate trainings and conferences, and facilitating client meetings.
She is the Lead Planner for the state-wide MDCH - Women, Infants and
Children Division trainings and special projects. She is currently pursuing a

Tarah Lantz, Program
Coordinator
Ms. Lantz previously
managed large national and international investment forums for the Cleantech
Venture Network. She formerly worked for the Michigan Public Health Institute as
an Education & Training Associate and returned to the Institute as an
Events Planner and has since been promoted to Program Coordinator in 2009.
Her responsibilities include serving as WebMaster for the program, event
management, graphic design, public relations and marketing, and a key
staffer for the Center for Nurse Workforce and Policy, with Dr. G. Elaine
Beane. She is also involved in the coordination of various state-wide
initiatives and national meetings and conferences. Ms. Lantz has a Bachelor of

Hope Rollins, Director of
Education and Training
Ms. Rollins is the Director of Education & Training. Before
coming to MPHI in 1999 as an Education and Training Associate, she worked over
seven years at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, MI as a Special Projects
Coordinator, in Patient Access
and Referral involved in Medicare Risk Management
initiatives involving CQI processes for increased patient satisfaction
and enhanced quality of care in meeting Health Alliance Plan's
HEDIS requirements. She also worked at Michigan State
University, Department of Physiology as a Biomedical Cancer Researcher. Ms.
Rollins currently provides supervision for the Education and Training team as
well as, administrative, operational, budgetary and project oversight for all
Education and Training projects. Ms. Rollins received her BS in
Multidisciplinary Health Studies (majoring in Anthropology, Physiology and
Psychology) from Michigan State University in 1992. She is currently pursuing a
master’s in public administration from Western Michigan University specializing
in health care policy and health care administration. Ms. Rollins also serves as
President for the Michigan Public Health Association and its newsletter Editor

Teresa Scott, Program Associate/Financial
Liaison
Ms. Scott has an extensive customer service background with over
eight years of clerical/office experience. Ms. Scott has earned an Associates
Degree for Office Specialists from Baker College. Ms. Scott serves as
Program Associate, Financial Liaison and Technical Liaison for the program, and
provides financial management of program's expenditures. Additionally, she
provides direction for the Program Secretary in offering secretarial
and administrative support for the Education and Training projects. She also

Corey Starmer, Events
Planner
Ms. Starmer
has four years of event planning and logistics experience and adds to
the team an enthusiasm for organization and high level
attention to detail. Ms. Starmer's role includes specialized event
planning and coordination of trainings, conferences, and webcasts and as well as
high profile national events. Ms. Starmer has vast experience in providing
specialized coordination for consumer ADA compliant focused events. Ms.
Starmer received a Bachelor of Arts in
Advertising from Michigan State University in 2000 and is a member of
